What is Domain Authority?

Domain authority, introduced by Moz, is commonly known as DA. It depends upon three factors mainly: age, popularity, and size.

The search engines want to show trustworthy websites in their search results. Since many new websites develop and many of them don’t last for longer, search engines sees domain age as an indicator of trust. Search engines value those websites in their search results which have consistently generated an increase in traffic.

Domain popularity is measured by the number of inbound links to the website from high authority websites.

Domain authority of your website depends upon the size of your website. If you have a one page website, the search engine would give little value to your website. But, if you have a ten pages website, the search engine would consider your website worth valuing.

In order to use Mozbar, you will have to install the Mozbar browser extension. In order to install Mozbar you need not to go anywhere as your internet browsers can do this for you. In Google Chrome you can find it by going to Extensions section under Tools. And in Firefox you can get this by going to Add-ons under Tools section. Once you install the same, you will be able to check domain authority of any webpage without any effort since the internet browser will automatically show you the DA of the webpage that you open.
